Yes she was booted off Rockstar Supernova this week, but not before being gushed over by all the band and Dave Navarro. They all want to back her up musically and gave her more love and respect than everyone voted off before her combined. I was sad to see her go, but she is coming home to Portland soon and will face a heightened exposure that she probably can't even imagine.
She threw down an emotional version of Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here last night, but was sent packing regardless. Tommy Lee couldn't even tell her the news. She is a star and I believe will do just as well as Supernova if not better. She has the total package. Looks, sound, style, loads of talent, attitude, dignity, and above all, a passionate love for what she does.
Was she the best fit for the band? I say no. She is far too big of a personality to share the stage with three veterans of big-time, big-sounding rock and roll. I believe that she will return home here soon (after the finale) to an insanely large collective of waiting arms, ready to show the love this town has for her. I can't imagine Storm and the Balls not throwing down a multi-day performance at Dante's as a reward for their fans. After that, say hello to the big time.
This is her last performance on Rockstar. I have read that her mom recently died and that is why she dedicated it to her. Check out Jason Newsted tearing up during the performance. Storm as well. I have always held to my belief that no one should think about covering three bands - Beatles, Led Zeppelin, and Pink Floyd as the original is rarely done justice. Storm gave the best performance of any Pink Floyd song that I have ever heard. Check it out.
